Meet Your Teacher:
Originally from North Carolina, Senora Hamborg attended The College of Charleston where she obtained her BA in Spanish. While in school, she studied abroad in Costa Rica where she really “picked up” Spanish.
After graduation she spent 3 years at a ministry school in Redding, California. She spent her summers teaching surfing to kids on the east coast and Central America. Once she completed her ministry program she moved to Nicaragua where she lived for a year, speaking Spanish and teaching surfing.
She has taught elementary and high school Spanish as well as science classes for several years in Orange County. She loves kids and has a passion for teaching and mentoring youth.
In this hands-on gardening program, students will learn about a variety of plants, insects and biodiversity. We will cover seasonal edible plant varieties, native plans and we will create our own worm compost. Students will plant their seeds in cartons, transplant them and watch them grow to harvest.Students will need to bring their own sketch journal where we will draw and color a plant and/or insect of the week.*This is a 40 minute after-school class only offered on Wednesday by Ms. Hamborg.Bring your own gardening gloves. A material list will be provided.
TERRA’S MONEY MESSAGE:
The Registration Fee holds your spot until August 15, 2020, when you must begin monthly payments or provide a purchase order from your charter school. Your registration fee can not be paid by instructional funds from your charter and is not refundable. If you do not register and pay the registration fee, you may be surprised to find that the class is sold out, and the teacher is not prepared for your student. A purchase order is not enough to consider yourself registered. The purchase order from your charter does not give us any contact information for you, tell us specifically which class you desire, or include the signed Terms and Conditions document.
The fee also causes potential students to consider which courses they need carefully, prevents spots from being held unnecessarily, and gives the teacher accurate information from which to plan their classes. The registration fee is not deductible from the tuition.
DROP POLICY: Drops are accepted until September 31, 2020. After classes have begun, you may only drop the course if you have withdrawn from homeschooling or moved out of the area. You are responsible for your student’s balance for the semester, whether or not your student attends. The course will be prorated for late enrollees.
Our system does NOT hold your spot until payment is received.
