Overview and Requirements for Terra Arts Store Day
To participate in the Terra Arts Store Day, each student must complete their sketchbook portfolios from the last several weeks. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase what you’ve learned through creative projects!
Weekly Requirements:
Each week, your sketchbook should include three essential components:
- Write a summary on a history topic you’ve studied, and include the title in the table of contents. If you have completed more than one writing assignment, please ensure that at least one is included in the book.
- Map: Create a visual representation related to your topic.
- History Topic/Subject with Artwork: Combine your historical knowledge with artistic expression.
Grades 3-8 should also include a timeline at the bottom of each page, featuring 3-4 relevant timeline topics.
Important Notes:
- TK and K do not have required homework, so they will not participate in the Terra Arts Store Day.
- Missing artwork will not count against your participation; however, you cannot miss more than three key pieces (essays or maps) across the five weeks.
- Students who joined the program late are not required to complete the work from prior weeks. Please make a note in your book indicating which week you started.
- Any books turned in late due to absences will only receive credit if submitted before store week.
- If your student wasn’t able to shop on Thinker Day Store Day, don’t worry! They can earn the chance to shop during the next Thinker Day Store Week!
We are incredibly proud of the kids and continually amazed by the outstanding work they have turned in. Their creativity, dedication, and hard work have truly shone through in every project. It’s inspiring to see how much effort they’ve put into their work, and the results speak volumes about their talent and commitment. Great Job!
