Cheryl Schultze, BA

Cheryl Schultze was born and raised in Southern California and earned her Associate of Arts Degree from Long Beach City College and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communication from California State University at Fullerton. During college, she passed the CBEST and began working as an instructional aide in the ABC School District. She first began working with children in junior high as a summer camp counselor and volunteered at Royal Family Camps for more than a decade. Cheryl left the workplace to stay home full-time to raise her children. Ken and Cheryl have been married for 30 years. In addition to teaching, she enjoys cooking, baking, movie watching time with her family and loves to be at the beach!

She first met Kim Frassett in 2006 when she enrolled her children in Kim’s art class and this fall marks the beginning of her 16th year of homeschooling. Her two oldest daughters have graduated college, her son is a senior at CSULB, her daughter, Delaney is a college art major, and her youngest daughter begins high school this year. Cheryl taught her children using the Institute for Excellence in Writing for 8 years. She began teaching at Terra Arts by introducing four IEW classes for grades 3-8. She has been teaching our TK/Kindergarten class since 2016 as part of Thy Ancient, Thy Medieval, Thy Colonial, Thy Age of Discovery, and Thy Modern Experience program. She enjoys children of all ages and believes them to be naturally curious, honest and oh so fun! She looks forward to serving our Terra Arts families by caring for our youngest classmates in a setting that is sensitive to their ever-changing ages and stages.
