Sam Charles

Sam Charles, BA

Sam Charles is the Theater Acting Teacher at Terra Arts on Doer Day and also serves as an Office Administrator overseeing registrations and billing on Foundations and Thinker Days. She holds dual BAs in Theater Studies and Communication Studies from Chapman University. A performer, stage manager, and director, Miss Sam has worked on productions at the Laguna Playhouse and the Musco Center for the Arts, with credits including The Who’s Tommy, Cabaret, and Hairspray. At Terra Arts, she has co-directed and stage managed Beauty and the Beast Jr. and The Sound of Music: Youth Edition alongside Esther Yardley and Dr. Desmond Sheehan.

Growing up with two parents who worked in the entertainment industry, Miss Sam often worked as a child background actor and gained firsthand experience of the hustle and bustle of Hollywood. From 2019-2023, she worked behind the scenes on Hollywood productions such as Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Book of Boba Fett, and The Mysterious Benedict Society. She’s thrilled to be part of the Terra Arts team in a variety of roles and is especially excited to teach your students the foundational rules and tools of acting.
